SAN JOSE STATE:
What’s really good HHC? SJSU HHC is helping out the community of San Jose by dedicating 3.25 hours a week to mentoring students at a local middle school. We have 6 members of HHC doing this so we are going to try to throw some hip-hop events at their school and kick some knowledge to youngstaz. We also planning for our next events, which is probably going to be Elementations, or Distortion 2 Static, which is a hip-hop show that airs on the WB. Everything is still in the works. We’re also trying to get some new t-shirt designs for our club and we want to get a banner to promote our club at events that we throw. Aite folks take care, one.
CSULA:
This Friday is our quarterly event Bring Your Skills. We will be hosting an open mic format from 7 P.M. to 9 P.M. and will showcase the talents of two live acts The Living Mechanizm and L. Scatterbrain. We are located in Los Angeles where the 10 and 710 freeways meet. If you wanna Mapquest it the addy is 5151 State University Drive Los Angeles, Ca. 90032. As far as locating the venue on the campus hit up http://www.calstatela.edu/univ/maps/cslamap.htm it is #36. Hope to see some of you there. Lates…
USC:
What up from Hip Hop Congress! It’s a holiday so HHC decided to hit everyone up a little earlier then usual. And it’s about damn time! Believe dat. Finally, the wait is over. Wednesday, February 23, at 8 PM HHC will be getting busy for an hour as we hold our first, and I repeat, first, weekly meeting of the semester. We’ll be introducing everyone on the board. Hopefully there will be a large turn out. We’ll also be listening to the latest release by The Game, entitled “Documentary.” Should be dope. Also, we’ll be discussing an article which appeared on Allhiphop.com entitled “Philly DJ Sues Fabolous For $85 Million” By Clover Hope.
Still on hold though are our Freestyle Fridays in front of Tommy Trojan. We’re working on coordinating a schedule between board members right now so we’re all out there together. But don’t worry, HHC will be out in front of Tommy Trojan this semester. Right now there are some ideas floating around that the LA Scratch DJ Academy will perform in front of Tommy. There is also the possibility of HHC taking a trip one day to the Scratch Academy for a free lesson. We’re trying to bring it together.
CAL STATE FULLERTON:
CSUF is holding its first official Hip Hop Congress meeting next Tuesday @ 7pm in KHS 174. The meeting will be immediately followed with HHC Radio with native Cerritos DJ Wally Sparx. Special guest Emphasis is also expected in the studio. Our first show yesterday went fairly well. Despite a few glitches and a bit of the first show jitters, the show was completed with nobody harmed, so that’s good. Remember to tune in Tuesdays from 9-10pm PST @ tir.fullerton.edu
TEXAS STATE:

We also have members that are going to participate in the Diversity Forum. They will be performing spoken word it’s going to be hot. This passed Sat. we participates in Bobcat Day which was focused students that might be interested in applying to Texas State and becoming a future member of HHC. Also on Sat we participated in Trio Day in Austin it was a real success we were given an award acknowledging our involvement with underprivileged youth in this community. Holla.
I am heading to Bloomington tomorrow. Crazy excited.
Peace and Love,
