The Hip Hop Summit is a unique event that tries to reinforce the positive diverse and rich culture that is Hip Hop. This event embraces the community. The event will feature M.anifest, Shin B, Ernie Rhodes, Me & You Crew as well as Promotion (Ill Technique and 2 DJs). These are all talented, intelligent and entertaining sons and daughters of underground Hip Hop music. Attend this event to learn and broaden your horizon, you will see and meet fun loving, awesome people from different backgrounds, and regions of the country and even the world. Hip Hop transcends religion, culture, race and gender –this event is a true reflection of that.

The Hip Hop summit will be informative and positive but also fun and a good break from work, school or just mundane activities. All these performers with their talent, stories and experience will fly and drive miles to be in one location. There will be cool workshops too. The workshops will include a lot of learning and hands on activities about the elements of Hip Hop namely DJing, MCing, Graffiti and Break dancing. In the end 10, 15 years from now you will meet someone who attended the summit in some airport and ask “remember that day when I tried to pull off my awesome break dance with my THRILLER move, but it just wasn’t in sync with a fast beat?” Most things you do in life you try to draw and learn from; hoping it will prepare you with the appropriate life skills and ability for what is to come, but the rest of it must be filled with fun and joy. Well this day is exactly about that. It will be a day that you wished would have lasted eternity. The Hip Hop Summit is bringing the heat so join us in Concordia College, Moorhead, MN as we celebrate and enjoy the beauty of our beloved Hip Hop on the 6^th of March 2010. Finally we say to you, Hip Hop ain’t dead, instead she is learning the art of putting up with the struggles of life, she listens to our stories, she understands the financial crisis, mortgage problems, stopping the violence, afrocentrity and globalization. Most of all Hip Hop Summit is a meeting place where we just kick it and have fun, learn from each other and strengthen our community—a community that will get to learn that we have more in common than we will ever know!
