RAHMAN JAMAAL IS A CABLE MOVIE MEGA STAR:
Don’t forget that Hip Hop Congress national board member Rahman Jamaal is currently being featured on TMC (and has been featured on Showtime, Starz and Black Starz) in his movie “The Beat.” For those who have not seen the film, Rahman rips many mics and also delivers a powerful acting performance. If you are too broke to purchase cable, borrow a friends Blockbuster card or hit up Netflix, where it is also available.
WHERE THE LADIES AT?:
what’s up, y’all? Sarah coming back at you. I am working with some other people in the congress to put together a page on the website for a listing of contact info for women involved in hip hop. this would be a tool for females and males to network and become more familiar with female artists and organizers. It would also provide promoters, event-throwers, organizations, clubs, etc. a place to find female artists so they can add a little more estrogen to their line-ups. if you know of females who are artists, organizers/activists/educators, promoters, journalists, radio djs, etc., you can send me their info cerahshocker@hotmail.com. I will contact them before I add them to the list to get their okay and complete info. peace!

Help Support!!! VOTE FOR US!!! INVITE ALL YOUR FRIENDS TO VOTE ALSO… THEN JOIN US AT COACHELLA 2006!!! And if you can’t join us, VOTE STILL to SUPPORT!!! THANKS AGAIN!!!
This message comes directly from the Hip Hop Congress artists Epsilon Project, who are putting it down something major in Southern California right now. They need all the support they can get to hop onto the Coachella Music festival. I don’t know if they can provide backstage passes, but it might not be bad idea to show them a little vote love.
You can learn more about them at: www.epsound.com | myspace.com/epsilonproject

CAL STATE FULLERTON:
What the deal comrades. Last week we had DJ Mark Luv of the Universal Zulu Nation talk with us about all facets of Hip Hop. Stories were told and knowledge was dropped. This week we had a hip hop game show hosted by yours truly, Gesundheit. I’d like to think that it was a good time had by all. Team fluffy bunnies or some shit won in the bonus round after a lot of back and forth action. Big ups to all contestants. Next week, DJ workshop w/ DJ Frank(e) and Wally Sparx.
Peace, Eric
USC:
What up?! Eight weeks into the semester and six emails later…brought to you by the good folks at Hip-Hop Congress here at the University of Southern California. Hopefully, everyone has finished midterms and can relax for a few more weeks. There is no meeting this week. Details to come in the next email on next week’s meeting. Every week we hit you up with an article the peeps at HHC feel is important for heads to be reading. This week we got an article entitled “Feds Outline Case Against The Inc.” By EbenGregory. Till the next update. Holla back. Respect. HHC.
SAN JOSE STATE:
What’s crackin folks? We just had our meeting today where we took care of some business for our next upcoming event, which is going to be, big! Lyrical Discipline’s 4th Year Anniversary show featuring Cali Agents, Loot Pack, and Lunar Heights. Also we had a spoken word, open-mic night tonight at 8pm. We’re working on an outing for HHC members to go out and kick it. Other then that we’re just tryin to promote our event and trying to grow as an organization. Aite y’all til next week. payce.
WILLAMETTE:
Contracts have gone out for Neema/Unexpected Arrival to come and perform 11/11 as the headliner for our Awareness festival. Campus Chair Austin Buell is also in the process of contacting all the surrounding colleges to let them know whats going down 11/11.
At our Monday meeting we decided to move the Elements Show, originally scheduled for February, till after Spring Break. This was decided so that we could have an easier time getting the desired space for the event. The Hardwoods come up in the main gym after bball season, and that is where we want to be, good acoustics and plenty of room.
We scored some badass turntables from the now defunct Willamette DJ club, we will be breaking them out at the dance for out Japanese DJ’s. So the HHC now has it’s own set of $1400 turntables.
Peace,
A
