CAL STATE LA:
HHC CSULA has returned from the conference energized. The new board has hit the ground running and have begun to meet regularly. I, Darkside will be performing this Thursday July 21, 2005 at Zen Sushi on Hyperion in Silverlake. For more info call 213.812.1859. We will be negotiating the terms of hosting a monthly event at this venue sponsored by HHC CSULA.This update will probably be my last as I will pass on this duty to the new P.R. chair. It was great seeing you all again and I’ll keep in touch. Lates…Darkside

CAL STATE FULLERTON:
CSUF Hip Hop Congress is in the process of renewing university recognition as an active organization at CSUF and is preparing for our return to our academic “careers”. Summer break, including attending the National Conference this year as a new chapter, has left us impatient, anxious, elated, and inspired to begin the new semester. We’re working on a couple of projects to make us more active within the Hip Hop and local community. Also, Discover Fest is approaching once again with the opportunity to bring awareness of Hip Hop Congress’ presence on campus. We’ve received many active and current members from this event, and we’re confident that our organization will only grow from here. Peace! -Trish (Co-Chair)

HIP HOP CONGRESS RADIO:
Hip Hop Congress Radio is still holdin it down on a weekly basis. We’re very pleased to receive many accolades from our listeners and guests. Last week, Rahman Jamaal and the Rhyme Inspector, Percee P, paid us a visit to discuss their current projects and even graced our mics with a lengthy and elaborate freestyle. Our goal is to bring attention to HHC and local artists, so please send us your music to csufhiphopcongress@gmail.com and listen to us every Tuesday at 9pm (PST) on www.titanradio.org.

TEXAS STATE:
Today the VP and I had a meeting with our advisor to set up some dates for our retreat. Upcoming, we have convocation, an hour slot at the bookstore, and are giving a diversity presentation at Paws Preview. Still grinding, still shining.

Have a great week.

Peace and Love,
